Penny's Pet Sitting Stories!

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of spending some more quality time with the lovely Penny – a calm and curious girl who stole my heart all over again. Unlike our last sunny sit full of paddling pools and puzzle toys, this week was all about leisurely adventures, new friendships, and the sweetest snuggles.
Village Walks & Tail Wags
Penny may be laid-back by nature, but when it comes to walkies, she’s all in. Every day we set off on long, peaceful strolls around the village, letting her lead the way as she took in every scent and sound. It’s always such a joy watching her enjoy the world at her own pace, happy, relaxed, and totally in her element.
One of the highlights of the week was introducing her to my own dogs, Lilly and Flynn. Penny and Lilly hit it off instantly with gentle greetings and waggy tails, but it was Flynn who really caught her eye. She was absolutely smitten! The three of them made a brilliant little trio, and we had so many fun walks together. On more than one occasion, when it was time to go our separate ways, Penny would stop and look back, as if to say, “Wait… aren’t they coming too?” It was honestly the sweetest thing.
Penny’s Perfect Evening Routine
After our daytime exploring, Penny had her own favourite way to wind down - snoozing beside me. She had a knack for finding the comfiest spot and would rest her head on the pillow like it was made just for her. Listening to her soft snores and contented sighs became one of my favourite parts of the day. There’s something really lovely about being in the calm company of a dog who’s totally at ease.
Full of Love (and Cuddles)
What I adore most about Penny is how affectionate she is. She doesn’t ask for much, just your company, a good walk, and a cuddle or two (or three!). Whether we were in the garden, out on a stroll, or just relaxing indoors, she was always nearby, ready for a fuss and happy to share quiet moments.
It’s always such a pleasure looking after Penny. She’s gentle, loving, and just a joy to be around. I’m so grateful for the trust to care for her again, and I already can’t wait for next time.
Until then, happy pet parenting!
Love, Holly x
