The Start of 2026 at Hols Pets: Familiar Faces and New Clients

The start of 2026 has already been a really positive one for Hols Pets. As I shared recently, Hols Pets was built on the belief that pet care should feel calm, consistent and genuinely personal. That approach continues to shape everything I do and it’s something I’ve seen reflected more than ever in the first few months of this year. From long-standing clients returning for their usual bookings, to welcoming new cats into my care, it’s been a lovely mix of familiar routines and new relationships.
Many of the bookings throughout January to March have been from clients I’ve worked with for a long time, pets I already know well, with routines that are familiar and settled. There’s something really special about returning to homes where animals recognise you, feel comfortable, and slip straight back into their usual routine. It’s also something I never take for granted. Being trusted again and again to care for someone’s pet is a reflection of consistency, reliability and the relationships built over time.
Alongside that, I’ve also welcomed several new cat clients into Hols Pets and received some really lovely feedback.
For anyone new to Hols Pets or looking into cat sitting, I’ve written a full breakdown of what’s included in my visits here:
This covers everything from feeding and routine care to updates, home checks and the small details that help keep things running smoothly while you’re away.
Cats in particular benefit from staying in their own environment, keeping their routines familiar and avoiding the stress that can come with being moved elsewhere.
It’s always lovely to build that trust from the beginning, allowing them to approach in their own time, getting to know their personalities, and creating a calm, predictable presence for them while their owners are away. Each home and each cat is completely different, which is why I never take a one-size-fits-all approach. Everything is tailored to suit the individual animal and their routine.
It’s also been really nice to see Hols Pets featured within the local community recently. Being included in the Spring edition of The Rollestonian was a lovely moment, especially as supporting the local villages I work in has always been important to me. Hols Pets has grown through word of mouth, trust and community support, so being recognised in that way meant a lot.

As always, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support Hols Pets, whether that’s through bookings, recommendations, or simply trusting me with your animals. This first quarter of the year has been a reminder of exactly why I do what I do. Familiar faces, new connections, and pets that feel safe, settled and understood in their own homes.
And that will always be the focus.
Until next time, happy pet parenting!
