Hols Pets was built on the belief that pet care should feel calm, consistent and genuinely personal. It didn’t come from a sudden career change or a convenient idea, it’s the result of years spent working with animals, learning from experienced professionals, and choosing environments where welfare always came first.
From a young age, I knew animals were where I felt most at home. Over time, that connection turned into a clear direction. I actively chose roles, learning opportunities and hands-on experience that allowed me to work with a wide range of species and to understand animals beyond the basics of feeding, cleaning or exercise.
A Career Shaped by Animals
My experience with animals spans many years and many settings. I’ve worked with and cared for a wide variety of species, each with their own needs, routines and ways of communicating. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors and professionals who placed strong emphasis on welfare, behaviour and observation.
Those experiences taught me that good animal care isn’t loud or rushed. It’s quiet, consistent and responsive. It’s about noticing subtle changes, respecting boundaries, and understanding how environment, routine, enrichment and handling all affect an animal’s wellbeing.
That perspective shapes everything I do through Hols Pets.
Care That Goes Beyond “Showing Up”
While Hols Pets offers dog walking, cat visits and small animal care, the work itself is rooted in something deeper than a timetable.
Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky to care for dogs, cats and small animals long-term, getting to know their routines, personalities and individual needs. I believe great pet care goes far beyond simply showing up. It’s about trust, continuity and treating every animal as if they were your own.
Animals notice familiarity. They respond to calm handling, predictable routines and a familiar presence. Whether it’s a cat who prefers quiet company, a small animal who thrives on consistency, or a dog who benefits from an unhurried walk, the approach stays the same: thoughtful, respectful and welfare-focused.
