Hi, I’m Holly, the founder of Hols Pets.

Hols Pets was established in 2022 with a simple aim to provide calm, consistent and genuinely personal pet care for owners who want their pets to feel safe, settled and understood in their own home.

With a background in animal behaviour, welfare and management, I bring both professional knowledge and hands-on experience into every visit. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to rabbits, guinea pigs and reptiles, developing a strong understanding of different routines, personalities and individual needs.

Before founding Hols Pets, I gained experience across multiple areas of the animal care industry, including rescue work, veterinary environments, pet retail, education and wildlife research. This background continues to shape the way I work today, with a strong focus on welfare, behaviour and doing what’s best for each individual animal.

At home, I’ve always been surrounded by animals, which continues to influence the care I provide. Living with a variety of pets has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of routine, patience and consistency in day-to-day care.

How Hols Pets Works

Calm, consistent and trusted pet care

Before any bookings, I offer a free meet and greet. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, understand your pet’s routine and individual needs, and ensure you feel completely comfortable with the care being provided. If you’re happy to go ahead, we can then confirm dates and complete the necessary paperwork for insurance and records.

As Hols Pets has grown, I’m supported by a small, trusted team. Juliet and Anya assist during busier periods and are fully insured under Hols Pets, DBS checked, and experienced in working with animals.

I always introduce who will be visiting your pets in advance, and I attend initial visits alongside team members to ensure your pets feel comfortable. If preferred, you are also welcome to meet Juliet and Anya beforehand for added reassurance.

You’ll also receive regular updates and photos during visits, so you always know how your pets are doing. I use WhatsApp to communicate with clients, allowing messages and updates to be sent wherever you are in the world (with Wi-Fi or data). This also gives the option to create a group chat, so partners can be included, and allows me to add Juliet or Anya when needed to ensure clear and consistent communication.

This approach allows Hols Pets to maintain a consistent, reliable standard of care, while ensuring every pet continues to receive the same level of attention and familiarity.
