I had the best week spending time with my regular clients, Rufus and Pip. Every visit with them brings something new, and I always end up learning more about their personalities and quirks!
This time around, Rufus decided he was ready to claim his spot on the bed with me. He loved snuggling up close and seemed to sleep so soundly - the perfect little bed buddy. Meanwhile, Pip was thrilled to have her parents' bed all to herself for the week. It turns out their room has the best window for pigeon-watching, which just so happens to be one of Pip's favourite pastimes. She spent hours perched at her lookout, eagerly observing her feathered "friends."
Pip adores her long walks, so we explored different routes across the fields and around the village. Rufus, on the other hand, had some mixed feelings about walking - some days he was raring to go, and others he preferred to chill. However, one route they both enjoyed was a special one... they led me straight to the local pub! The pair seemed to know exactly where they were going, and they absolutely loved all the attention they received once we arrived.
When we weren't walking or napping, we made the most of the glorious sunshine in the garden. Pip loved chasing after her ball, while Rufus took his role as "chief guard dog" very seriously, keeping a close ear on everything happening beyond the fence.
We also had a funny little incident when two unexpected guests - a pair of frogs - decided to make themselves at home in the kitchen! I have no idea how or why they ended up there, but Pip was straight back in the garden afterward, determined to check the bushes for any more surprise visitors. Rufus, meanwhile, stood there watching me curiously as I squealed in surprise! I love all animals, but I wasn’t quite prepared to be pet-sitting frogs along with the dogs.
All in all, it was a fantastic week. Rufus and Pip never fail to brighten my day and keep me entertained. I can’t wait to see them again soon for more cuddles, walks, and unexpected adventures!
